Re: Full Tilt Update... w t f
haha @ riddi wow, i love it.
@OP: This happens with firewalls occasionally. More than likely fulltilt was updating but your Norton Security got the name wrong and/or simcity was still running and just said simcity was trying to access the internet, when really it was just fulltilt. I wouldn't worry about it. |

Re: Full Tilt Update... w t f
This isn't the first time FTP has thought it was Sim City. I've got the same error before as have others. I blame society.

Re: Full Tilt Update... w t f
I have never had Sim City on this computer nor have I even heard someone mention that game since about 7th grade. So there's zero chance it is confusing it with something else on my computer.

Re: Full Tilt Update... w t f
hmmmm.. well that changes things lol. Pretty funny actually.
If you are 100% sure you've never had it on there, than that is really odd. Im not familiar with the Norton Internet Security software, did you click on more details? If so what did it say? Also, if norton logs its alerts, you can probably check the logs and see where the program is located on your computer. This would probably explain a lot. Regardless, id assume this is pretty harmless. It seems more like someones programming mistake then something to be worried about. However if you want to get checked out head on over to the tech help forum and post a hijackthis log. |

Re: Full Tilt Update... w t f
I think this now proves beyond any doubt online poker is rigged. Obviously, FTP is using some mutated version of SimCity to install doom switches and rig the shuffle. I knew it!

Re: Full Tilt Update... w t f
Okay guys, this is how this works: When a program sends info to the internet it uses a certain "port" (this is a software thing, not an actual hardware port). There are hundreds of these available, and really any program can use any port, but a lot of programs use standard ones. For instance, email programs usually send via port 25 or whatever, nameservers use port 43, etc.
Norton keeps a list of these and up until now probably the only program that ever used a certain port was Simcity, but now fulltilt has decided to send data through that port, and Norton just assumes it is Simcity. That's all that this is. (tech guys, please don't nitpick at the obvious small errors I have made here, I'm just trying to explain it in terms that maybe make sense) |

Sim City 3000? Shouldn't they have something better than the internet by then?

Re: Full Tilt Update... w t f
all i can think of is that the FT people used/stole some kind of development tool made by EA in the production of the software
either that or your computer is busto |
