One time I was playing with a couple buddies and we were bullshitting with this drunk dude who was just there to have fun and blow some cash. He did not follow any resemblance of basic strategy, but my guess is that he was a reasonably intelligent person. After one hand, he spontaneously leaned over and was like, "hey, watch me go [censored] up this other table". And he moved over to the last to act seat and proceeded to take a bunch of ridiculous hits until a bust card or whatever came up. This made absolutely no sense, but we were drunk enough that it was hilarious. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the reaction of the other players at that table. Good times!

It's the right play. Doesn't even the 99 cent basic strategy card available at most casino gift shops tell you to hit 13 against a Dealer's 2? You may recommend that anyone giving you advice not to hit spend the buck and purchase one.
