Default What happens if the NCAA season ends in the following?

I know there are other important factors I'm not including but based on the following, how would you rank the following teams at the end of the year:

OSU loses to Michigan
LSU wins out
Oregon wins out
Kansas wins out
WVU wins out
BC wins out
Arizona St. wins out

Kansas plays LSU for the championship in that scenario. If Oregon passes LSU in the polls, it will be just by a few points, and LSU should finish ahead of the Ducks in the computer rankings.

I don't see Oregon passing LSU in the polls. I will not be happy if KU wins out and doesn't play for it all me being a Big 12 homer and all....but I don't think KU wins out anyways.

In your scenario I would rank them:

1. KU- Only undefeated team, won Big 12 North and beat OU in the championship game.

2. LSU- Going through the SEC with one loss is slightly more impressive than...

3. Oregon going through the Pac-10 with one loss.

4. Gotta put ASU here if their only loss is to the #3 team in this scenario.

5. OSU- Loss to Michigan a little more troubling than ASU losing to Oregon.

6. WVU- Loss to South Florida looks worse and worse as Bulls tumble.

7. BC- Should have lost to VT and get beat by a just ok FSU team.

It looks good if it plays out this way; but it probably won't. As an SEC fan I won't pity KU too much if they win out and don't play for it all as Auburn went undefeated in 04 and got shafted by a pretender OU.

This is good.

However, I don't think that Kansas will win out. They'll fall in either the game against Mizzou or the B12 Championship game.

If everything else in the OP is right, that would leave Oregon and LSU, the two best teams IMO.

Unfortunately, the most likely scenario is OSU vs. either Oregon or LSU. In that case, it's a coin flip. I would go with Oregon but it will probably be LSU.

If Kansas wins out they will have beaten two top 7 teams in their last two games and be undefeated. They are easily #1.

The computers like Kansas. If they win out, they're in.

If LSU goes to the BCS title game, The Sugar gets to pick to replace them and is most likely going to choose a 3-loss Auburn or Florida, if available. Of course, that would involve Florida winning out but not getting to the SECCG or Auburn beating Georgia and Bama, but it could happen. You can throw out the "but so-and-so is more deserving" arguments. That's very likely the way it would go down. It's not like there is going to be a bunch of 1-loss at-large teams to choose from anyway.
