No I bought the car with 22k miles. I had experience with other fast cars previously as well. Neither of these things take away any from the stupidity of going 150+ on public roads with somebody else in the car. At least it was after 1 am and the road was completely empty.

a couple of years ago 2 guys I know were driving ~200km/h down some rural road when they decide to call the passengers brother to say "Hey reese, guess how fast I'm goi-- line goes dead. 5 minutes later he gets another phone call saying they flipped the truck and are OK.

[/ QUOTE ]

So who made the call: Driver or passenger?

wow a lot of these posts shouldn't even be on here...why are people putting up speeds like "115" ???

I was at 140 in my '99 Eclipse(It might've been a 98 or something iunno) but the speedometer went to 165 or 170 but I wasn't gonna try that. I expect to top 160 in my lifetime, or maybe just die trying stupid [censored] like this.

To the guy who asked about radar detectors, there is only one radar detector worth buying:

Valentine One

[/ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

thats kinda expensive... what does it do so much better than the one I asked about? I think mid range would suffice, right?

They all do the same thing, no?

[/ QUOTE ]

The short answer is no, go to the valentine website and read all about it, it's not necessarily all just marketing hype like you would expect. If you really don't want to have the best, the best advice I can give you is just absolutely don't buy something battery operated, a cord or hardwire is the only way to go.

Q. If you are driving super fast along a highway i.e. LA to LV or NY to Boston, how likely are you to get busted by cops?

Because they are in POS cars. 115 in a POS is probably ballsier than 130 in an 8 cylinder Beamer. Or maybe not ballsier, but definitely stupider.
