The guy who started multiple \"looking for people for MTV\" threads
After doing a google search at Mike Haven's suggestion, those threads are looking very strange. leftright tv has started numerous threads on numerous different kinds of message board forums, all about a reality show dealing with people tailored to the subject of that message board. I think this might be some kind of scam (in that he's asking people to send a lot of personal information). I've moved the NVG thread here, I think we might want to move them all here pending some kind of confirmation that it's legitimate.

Re: The guy who started multiple \"looking for people for MTV\" threads
I banned him and deleted the thread from B&M minutes after he posted it, he didn't get permission and its promoting his company. If we let him spam the forums just because its interesting to some users then we have to start letting others do the same. Additionally as you pointed out it could be a scam, or even if its legit someone else may try to use a similar type of post in the future as a scam.

Re: The guy who started multiple \"looking for people for MTV\" threads
I'll go ahead and unban you. Please keep your posts limited to thread you started in About The Forums.
Mat -----Original Message----- From: Ben Rosen <brosen@leftright.tv> To: forum-master@twoplustwo.com Sent: Mon, 12 Nov 2007 11:32 am Subject: MTV's True Life Dear 2+2: I'm producing a documentary for MTV called "I Live Another Life Online". We thought it could be fascinating to profile someone from the gambling community. In order to find people, we typically put casting notices on forums such as yours. And sometimes we do indeed get banned. I know you guys have a policy about this, but I was hoping you might consider making an exception. "True Life" is a genuine documentary series that has won numerous journalism awards over the years, and it really stands apart from your typical reality tv show. I'm also making this appeal because in the few minutes that my posting was on your forum, I did receive a number of interested emails from potential characters. Clearly, this is THE poker forum online, and I'm confident that if the notice were to remain on your forum, we would find the right person, and we could in turn offer you a credit. Please let me know your thoughts, and if I might be able to answer any questions you may have. Thanks!
