Default bowtoyoursensei ip banned

hey,

bowtoyoursensei sent me a msg yesterday that he had been ip banned:
[ QUOTE ]

"mat slansky said i was trolling OOT (never posted there) as such i got boned (he hasn't returned my e-mails since), how would i go about getting un-banned?"

[/ QUOTE ]
when I asked for more info, he sent me this:
[ QUOTE ]

"it says my ip address has been banned from this community whenever i try to post anything, and this was the e-mail i got from mat.

"multiple troll accounts with same ip. mods from other forums requested ip ban"

and this is the screen i get everytime i get to 2+2 via firefox:

"Your account has been banned or locked.
Ban reason: intentionally and repeatedly trolling OOT... IP check plz"

everyone in my apartment uses 2+2, so i guess one of them could have gotten me banned, but so far as i know i have never trolled in OOT.

[/ QUOTE ]

I asked who his roommates were:

[ QUOTE ]
i have 3 roommates, one of them was inflammedhemmroid (banned) he would later come back as softball king (banned). the other 2 browse, but i don't believe they've created an account.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know about the trolling, but bow is a pretty good bbv poster.

Gild,

There was a thread about this, where daryn asked for an IP check on softballking because he was a nuisance. I'm all for un-IPbanning here and telling bowtoyoursensei to tell his roommates to knock it off.

the softball king account looked and posted a whole lot like how BTYS posts in BBV. to me, the 'my roommate messed up on 2p2 from my IP address' thing gets old, we've heard that a lot of times.

it's cool if BBV mods want to advocate for a poster they like (i read BBV and i think he sucks, but ok), if the IP ban is lifted i would just let him know that his 'roommates' are going to get him IP banned for good if they do it again.

I told him I would take it to the mod forum, not really "advocating". I do think he is a good poster, but I also haven't kept track of the softball king stuff so I trust you if you think it is a crock of [censored].

yeah, in my opinion he's a decent poster but one of those guys that doesn't particularly stand out. I'm not gonna advocate for him, either, especially if he's trolling elsewhere.

If it is in fact his roommate (which is entirely possible) I think we should un-ban the IP. We should ask for some form of proof however.

Softball king is so bad that lifting the IP ban is more terrifying than losing an okay BBV poster. I would tell this poor soul to start posting from an internet cafe/school computer lounge/library/coffee shop wi-fi, or just move and get a roommate who isn't such a fu[/i]cking a[/i]sshole.

Based on my experience in another forum I would seriously question if he has a roommate. On this other forum sometimes he is a good poster and sometimes he is a super troll.
