Most fights happen because of other reasons.

Looks like two good series; they start Wednesday if Detroit wins tonight?
Who is the favorite in Ott-NJ?

GJ Devils, Bolts fought hard but just not enough. Good season nonetheless.

NHL suspends McLennan five games for his slash yesterday.... link

In addition the NHL fined coach Jim Playfair $25,000 and the team $100,000 for actions late in Game 5. Meh

I thought the hit on Langkow was brutal. He hit him just above the knee, and came in from the side. He deserved the punch in the face for that one. Besides that, Calgary got silly at the end of the game

Right, but that's the justification being made here (and, IIRC from the Calgary players, at least implicitly).

Default NHL playoff thread blah blah

devils looked really good today and friday night - tampa didn't have a lead since game 3. Hard to believe - but Brodeur finally started playing like Brodeur, and the Lightning just got NO contribution from secondary scorers.

as for calgary detroit - lololol franzen dove on the mclennan slash, evank you're an absolute dummy. 'calgary's the 3rd best team in the league' rofl. nice prediction. detroit's going to win this series, either in 6 or 7, and calgary'll be the best golfing team.

Horrible call on Holmstrom. He gets pushed into the crease and Kipper feels the breeze, steps back... and a penalty gets called?! Bertuzzi then gets cross checked straight in the back while dumping in the puck and no call. Horrible reffing job tonight.

Going into the 2nd OT, the shots are something like 55-20 in favor of the Red Wings. Just ridiculous. Kipper is the only thing keeping this remotely close.
