am i the only sox fan that actually likes sticking to the plan for game 4 win or lose tonight and saving a rested beckett for game 5. You guys realize we are facing Byrd in 4 right? That is sort of throwing Beckett away I think.

Weren't Sox fans making suggestive comments like this about Westbrook just a few hours ago?

Byrd's a decent MLB pitcher. Against a team that has scored 2 runs in thier last 14 innings, he may fare well. The Sox simply aren't hitting anybody.

Westbrook can be dominant occasionally. I don't see Byrd shutting down the Sox, especially coming off tonight's performance (win or lose)
