every once in a while i come to this forum and see this thread and i just wanted to post for the record that i still hate him.

Look there is no debate to weather jamie is a good player, he took his money and started playing in big games, its been a while now, if he was doing well the pros would respect him more and there would be talk from the pros and from jamie himself saying "look, i am playing with these players in their games, with their rules, and their experience advantage and I am holding my own" but hes not saying anything except "I know im not the best player in the world" so please, enough. We all know he isnt that good of a player, its just factual.

I was president of the "I hate Jamie Gold fan club" after the series last year, but he seems to have calmed down considerably... Luckbox or no, I defy you to find a player who has dominated a tournament for so long like that...pretty insane, he was obviously doing something right. The one thing I've noticed about him lately is he is one of the few/only pros on HSP that tips or tips more than five bucks, and he usually says thank you to the dealer sincerely when its a decent pot..thats admirable

I think he came off worse in the 2006 ME due to all the adrenaline. When stressed I also can turn into the biggest douchebag which when not stressed I can hide it fairly alright sometimes even coming off as an emphatic human being.

So I think it's normal the hate wears out on him.

hes a lot more humble now than after he won, natural though.

his tabletalk worked great at last years wsop but now it seems, at least when playing pros, its working against him.

escpeially negreanu seem to have him figured out pretty well.

Does he honestly think he's a great bluffer??? He said as much on High Stakes last night. What a douche, he may have been humble for about 5 minutes but he's right back on the douche wagon.
