Re: 200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up
he's 38/xx. he's a bad player. bet more on turn, and hope to get a bigger bet in on the river.
b/f is the right play, 56 got there, but unless he's really horrible, this is a set more often than not. |

Re: 200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up
I think betting the river is ok, he has not shown any strenght so we're betting for value here. When he raises flop heavy, he has either slowplayed his trips or made his straight. Just can't see any different hand, so fold.

Re: 200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up
Bet/fold is the way to go here. Plenty of bad players call with worse two pairs and naked J's here, so betting is OK. You aren't good here often so throwing up and folding is standard.

Re: 200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up
check/anything is worse than bet/anything in my mind. I'd rather bet/call this hand than c/f it. I just don't get why we're so weak tight with top 2 on a board like this.

Re: 200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up
I like the way you played it. As long as you fold the river it played out fine. Against someone as LAG as this a river bet if definitely the right move and I like your bet sizing to get calls from 1 pair but still an easy fold to 3bet.
He may have the straight but I have a feeling he has a set. If he was floating then he made a sick bluff on the river and got lucky that it was a good bluffing card; no way am I looking him up just to see. |

Why on earth did u bet this river? What worse hands call? All i can think of is 42 and maybe some other funky two pair, but not sure if J4s or 84s are in his range... As played, just fold. [/ QUOTE ] Have u ever played online poker or even poker, PEOPLE CALL WITH ANYTHING. Suggesting not to bet that river is just VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVERY dumb |

Re: 200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up
and about the fact that he said he claimed to have folded a big hand to you earlier, its just what he said, I wouldn't take it to consideration really unless I was pretty sure myself he had what he claimed to have.
The river is really tough, but I think its a fold. |

Yeah, our ranges are completely different. I only included J8 and 87. [/ QUOTE ] I would be stunned if some random dude at these limits would fold A8 on the river. STUNNED. And i have played hundreds of thousands of hands at these limits |

Re: 200 NL. My top 2 gets raised on the river. I feel like throwing up
I actually have A-J in this guy's range. His play through all streets would support it.
I still fold from what I know here - but I'm not so sure I do if I have any better read than what you're showing here. I see A8 alot here too. His big push is suspicious and doesn't generate alot of value if he did grab himself a set. Still - I fold this and wait for a better opportunity. |

Pretty anti-climactic, as I folded. It's reasuring that most people agreed with my play for the most part. My biggest leak by far is folding big hands, it just doesn't feel right, but I'm working on it.
