i have a traditional name, even common in the u.s. if you are between ages 25 and 35, but i still like to use an alias for reservations, mine is Xavier. feel free to use it to your hearts content. it works and people are usually to embarrassed to ask how to spell it.
one of my best friends, who went to law school in SF used a poker alias of Randy. i did not know this and while calling him by name across the table the dealer at LC politely corrected me and said "hey that isn't his name, that guy is Randy." priceless. aliases are cool.
