If you have to get a gift card why not a Dell gift card. I'm getting a dell this summer for school/poker.

Even better, hire some immigrants to build one. It'll cost you $150.

I work at Best Buy...

Dont get a Vaio, you're paying an extra $200 for the name. Toshibas are awesome, Gateways are really nice too. I recommend either a Turion or a Centrino Duo. Also, they're going to try and sell you a PSP(Protection plan) on it. We have a new accidental damage one that kicks ass. Covers all screen damage, any liquid spill, and drops up to 4ft. I recommend getting it

Here
If you want a smaller screen
If you want to spend extra money on a Centrino Duo

I had a Vaio that I loved, didn't get the insurance--spilled a Sprite on it....After that I got a Toshiba--it's exactly a year old last week and has been in for service for a total of 8wks. so far. I really miss my Sony.
