In the clincher the manager pulled the starter after an 8 inning perfect game. It was 1-0 at the time, but that's still pretty sick. The starter's name was Yamai, which actually means "sick", different characters though. In any case the closer threw a perfect ninth and they closed out the Nippon Ham Fighters in 5.
Fukudome was hurt for part of this year, wonder if we see see him in the states soon.
