If you don't live near an IKEA, shipping charges are pretty rediculous for the jerker.

I got some crap at Wal-mart for 40 bucks for my computer. It's actually very compact but has enough room for all my stuff 24" monitor, etc. It's actually the perfect size and will probably keep it for as long as it lasts then buy another one when it wears out. I know they stock it at my local Wal-Mart but I can't find it on their website.

I have a separate table to do my study, paperwork, reading, homework because I never really have to go between books and computers, I'm either doing bookwork or computing, usually never both at the same time and this way when I'm trying to focus on bookwork I'm not distracted by computer games and forums imo.

This I got from Ikea and used all through college. It is spacious enough to do homework and the height is adjustable. But my chair sucks, so I'd spend the money on that.

I went to buy a Jerker a couple of weeks ago and Ikea had replaced it with a new pos desk. It wasn't as nice and was very cheaply made. Guy at the store said people come in every day for a Jerker and complain about the replacement. In Canada btw.

The next desk I get will be a Sit-to-Stand.

Ikea used to make a good one but they seem to have discontinued it. Here are a few :

There seems to be a dearth of good products in the desk world these days. Personally I prefer just going to an office supply store and buying a big standard flat desk, maybe buy a drawer compartment if you want.

Plenty of space for all the stufff you need, and none of the crappy monitor stands and shelves and [censored] no one needs.
