Whiffed AKs on wrong monotone flop
Final two tables in $20 1r+1a
Villain was at my first table. He open limps a lot with any stack size and has doubled up with AA thus. At that first table, I was pretty laggy and donk doubled through him, calling a reraise from BB with AJ and calling his check-raise push, turning trips to beat KK. He hasn't notably defended his blinds, but I was pretty laggy early and I've been pretty laggy since he came to the table. It's a didactic query.

Re: Whiffed AKs on wrong monotone flop
This is a pretty interesting situation, and one I don't think im very good at. I tend to cont bet too often even when I 'know' they are going to c/r me, although trying to resist these spots a bit more these days.
Given how much is in the pot, im really tempted to take a stab at this given we have nothing HOWEVER, I think this could be one of those spots i struggle with, and here Villian can c/r us with such a wide range and we still have to fold. Saying all this, I think i prefer a check behind here with the intention of firing a delyaed cont bet on the turn. |

Re: Whiffed AKs on wrong monotone flop
fire out around 15ish...more times than none if hes not holding a heart he would not want to get involved in the hand and he will just let it go.

Re: Whiffed AKs on wrong monotone flop
Depending on who the player is i either fire 14k or check back.

Re: Whiffed AKs on wrong monotone flop
My default is to shove preflop here. It makes your hand pretty transparent, but so what.
