Pole is an intentional misspelling of poll that is common throughout 2+2 and online forums in general. However, there are always people who just don't "get it" and insist on correcting the spelling. Just like every time someone spells "moran" with an "a".

It is actually so intentional that people point it out when they know why they spelled it wrong. Then the other person comes in and recorrects the person, thus completing the leveling of a mod.
