Win rate at 100nl, 200nl
What is your win rate at 100nl and/or 200nl 6 max? Please only post with 25K+ hands. I'm trying to understand what a really good player wins at these limits, what is possible, etc. Also, if you have a really good win rate, what do attribute it to? What skill moved you from good to great.

Re: Win rate at 100nl, 200nl
lol @ 25k hands. i have run at -2ptbb over longer than that and over 10ptbb for the same amount of time. these threads always end up being filled w brags and misinformaition. 300k hands is about the smallest sample size i would take as reasonably accurate, but even then the person could have changed their style a lot over that time and the game climates change etc, so an accurate long term winrate is very difficult to ascertain.
fwiw from what ive read here and my own experience i would say that 3-5ptbb is decent and 6-8ptbb is crushing. for a multiabling grinder these days i would guess that it would be almost impossible to achieve a long term winrate over 8ptbb. |

Re: Win rate at 100nl, 200nl
OP, We get a lot of questions about winrate that you can get answers to under the stickies at the top of the forum. So I recommend you read those first.
However, your question is a little different. The second part I find interesting and I hope it can generate some interesting discussion. [ QUOTE ] Also, if you have a really good win rate, what do attribute it to? What skill moved you from good to great. [/ QUOTE ] First, I haven't been a strong winner for a very long time, but I have spent a lot of time on my game. The biggest change that happened to me was a realization that I'm my biggest enemy at the table. I make the decisions and nobody else can be blamed for my results. If some idiot calls me down with bottom pair for a fullstack and I lose, I can't blame them for my loss. Likewise, if I lose AA to KK/AK/QQ all in preflop, I can't blame my luck. You are going to lose in these spots some of the time and there is nothing you can do about it. When you start taking responsibility for your results, things change. You start seeing things differently. You tilt less, you study more, your concentration at the table goes way up, and your results get better. So the best advice I could give is, be responsible. Don't be one of these guys that whine about bad beats, or how horrible they run. If your results aren't ideal, find out what YOU are doing wrong instead of finding examples of how unlucky you are. |
