what was the buyin? do you have any reads?

I would be inclined to check because you are not getting a J or Q to fold (and even then it is questionable) without two barrels and because you do not have two barrels left. The only way to get money out of the villain when you are ahead is to check and hope that he fires on the turn (or river.)

You are certaintly not even close enough to be betting for information here and the only way to get value from a lesser hand is to check the flop.
