Default Profitable lines against very-aggressive players when OOP

Ever find yourself OOP against a loose/aggtard (40/18/4), usually in the SB or UTG with a big pair, and have flopped a set on an AKx flop?

When I'm in this situation, I'm trying very hard to come up with a bluff-weak line in hopes villain will raise, or lead.

This is typically something like a standard c-bet (since I c-bet 90% of the time), and then shutting down on the turn, making it look like I have nothing, and gave up.

However, this puts us in a very tricky spot on the turn. If we lead, he folds, unless it's like 1/4 pot. If we check/raise, he almost always folds, unless he actually has a hand.

So, with that, what are the most profitable lines to take given out situation?

I will try and dig up some hands after I'm done 20 tabling.

Feel free to post hands of your own where you've extracted the max from an over-agg villain trying to knock you off a big hand.

I guess i usually just cont. bet like i usually would and pretend to shut down on the turn. That usually gets a decent bet out of the villain and i just raise/shove depending on pot size.
Unless the villain actually has a hand I think any line gets the villain all in, but i've found the cont. bet/shutdown on turn to squeeze out some value most of the time.
I will soemtimes try a check/call the the flop and check/raise turn as that can work as well

Compare the two lines:
1. C-bet/Check-Raise or Call
2. C-bet/Weak turn lead

Our weak turn lead is something like 1/4 pot, giving villain room to bluff.

Thoughts?

Just thought about it a bit more, I think I like the 2nd line better. I haven't used it much before but I think it will do well against a very agg. player that shuts down when we are betting strong.

This might be sacrilege but I sometime bet like 1/3 pot if I flop a set and there are no draws. This often will induce a raise to which I might just call. The weak 1/3 pot bet could be viewed as a weak probe donk bet causing the lagtard to spring into lagtard action...........

Personally, there's nothing wrong with getting a little FPS when the flop is dry enough to warrant it.

Fancy Play Syndrome

I assume OP is referring to mrpotto's line, or at least playing it weak/probey trying to induce a raise
