what does FYP mean?

Do you guys really push AK on this flop? Seems like a way to light money IMHO - villain is surely not folding JJ+. I also suspect it would be highly exploitable since I doubt very much you push QQ-AA in the same circumstances (especially not AA since you basically tell villain how to play perfectly).

Huh? So you don't push AA cause it lets him play perfectly, but he will call a push with JJ+?

Well you actually raise the problem yourself.

If we know villain will call a push on a low board with JJ+ we can happily push AA,KK, etc. However, why would you want to push AK knowing that villain will never fold those hands?

The reverse is also true; if you know villain won't call a push with 88-QQ on a low board (QQ is pushing it) then why on earth would you want to push AA-JJ when you are miles ahead and can find other ways to get value. On the flipside, pushing AK would now be great because it works very well as a bluff.

There was another big thread on here yesterday that raised a similar issue. The discussion centered around 3-bet pots and bluffing to represent when an A or K hit the turn and villain had only called the flop. The problem was the same. If you DID hold AK and had picked up TPTK on the turn you are less likely to bet big/push because villains flop line was that of a pair he was unsure about (thus we are way-ahead now and a bet will get villain to fold a weaker hand). However, if you don't have an A or K but want to bluff represent it you kind of have to bet.

It's sort of chicken and the egg IMHO.
