Weird river spot with AK
Villain is 21/16 and I've never seen him get out of line. I am 25/20 and quite aggro, but new to FT so not well known. Is this a snapcall hoping to split? It felt really weird at the time. If I feel there is a 0% chance he is purely bluffing, can I call?

Re: Weird river spot with AK
Meh he probably thinks you never beat Ax here, I'd call.

Re: Weird river spot with AK
If there`s a 0% chance he is purely bluffing he can have 2 combos that beat you and 4 you are splitting with. Also I think AK is less likely given the way he played the hand. May he ever play AQ like this? If not it`s a fold (given he is never ever bluffing).
Edit: I forgot a couple of combos that have us crushed which makes it a clearer fold. |

Re: Weird river spot with AK
Wow not sure what to put him on but you're beat against 90% of people on Full Tilt.

Re: Weird river spot with AK
Lmao, that's an insta call. # 1) He's not putting you on AK since you didn't RR PF. # 2 ) He doesn't chk raise the turn. # 3) wtf chk-raises here with 56, 45, or 23? Most 90% of poker players will lead out here on the river assuming you hit your ace, hoping to get value out of their trips.
His chk-raise is way too strong to have a real hand. $77 to $322? It like screams " I miss played my hand and am trying to make up for it. " I putem on a weaker ace. Edit: I would've said maybe 67 for him busted draw, but being that you're the aggro & he is tight/solid I would scratch that, he could be slow playing a boat on the flop or trips... it'd be a 50/50 in my mind. Still a very hard fold considering he chk raises on the river instead of leading out. I usually say " good play " and call. lol |

Re: Weird river spot with AK
hes doing that thing where he tries to push you off a chop.
I mean, you never have AK here. So when you do, you should win. |

Re: Weird river spot with AK
I fold. Very few people c/r bluff the river at this limit. If he has AK, kudos to him. I think he has you beat more often than not though.

Re: Weird river spot with AK
I think this is AQ/AJ trying to push your Ax hand off of a split, or perhaps a value raise by AK. Your hand is was underepped and his line really doesn't make a whole lot of sense with any hand. He could check 44/55, but I think 5x is betting the flop almost always here. AA/KK is already very unlikely given there is only one combo of them each, not to mention I'd be very surprised to see AA/KK check this flop.
All things considered I think this is a call. |
