10NL: Two hands against same villian
I hadn't played against villain long, but he was 54/4 in 21 hands. These hands happened in the same round:
Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $17.60 BB: $32.15 Villain (UTG): $7.65 MP: $9.50 CO: $9.40 Hero (BTN): $10.45 Preflop: Hero is dealt 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players) Villain calls $0.10, MP folds, CO raises to $0.30, Hero calls $0.30, 2 folds, Villain calls $0.20 Uncalled bet of $0.00 returned to Villain Flop: ($1.05) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players) Villain checks, CO bets $0.55, Hero calls $0.55, Villain calls $0.55 Turn: ($2.70) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) Villain bets $0.50, CO folds, Hero raises to $2.00, Villain calls $1.50 River: ($6.70) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Villain bets all-in for $4.80, Hero folds Pot Size: $11.50 ($0.30 Rake) Pre-flop I was going for a set. The flop looked good, but I couldn't be sure I had the best hand with two opponents. The turn looked like a decent scare card to villain's weak lead. Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $2.15 Villain (BB): $10.55 UTG: $9.35 CO: $8.30 Hero (BTN): $11.05 Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 Players) UTG raises to $0.30, CO folds, Hero raises to $1.20, SB folds, Villain calls $1.10, UTG folds Uncalled bet of $0.00 returned to Villain Flop: ($2.75) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) Villain bets $1.60, Hero calls $1.60 Turn: ($5.95) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Villain bets $2.20, Hero calls $2.20 River: ($10.35) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) Villain bets all-in for $5.55, Hero folds Pot Size: $15.90 ($0.50 Rake) With this hand, he kept giving me just enough odds to draw. Am I just being owned here? Comments on all streets welcome, because these two hands pretty much sum up my experiences at 10NL so far. |

Re: 10NL: Two hands against same villian
Hand 1: I'd rather raise the flop than raise the turn. But if you are going to raise the turn, it needs to be bigger; your raise is only like 1/3 pot.
Hand 2: Fine. |

Re: 10NL: Two hands against same villian
Hand 1 definitely raise flop. I don't think the turn was a good time to be raising because if he was firing w/overcards he just got there (unless he has AQ). The flop was great for you, so you need to raise it up.
Hand 2 I'd raise flop since you 3bet pf. If called and he checks turn I'd check behind of course, or call a small bet. |
