Theory question for heads up NL holdem
On partypoker the blinds are still wrong for heads up holdem. This means that the small blind is at a huge disadvantage and the vpip from it should be pretty low.
When playing against a bad player who plays too many small blinds, it seems you should play even tighter in your own small blind. That way you can get more big blinds in over the same period of time, and that is where the big advantage is. So basically, I think you should be giving up small EV advantages in the small blind to get more EV advantages in the big blind. Is there something wrong with my thinking on this? |

Re: Theory question for heads up NL holdem
not really incorrect, but i'm never in that much of a hurry to pass up +EV situations. if the guy is generally passive you should probly play almost all hands and then lead the betting if you hit the flop. being OOP is less of a disadvantage against passive players.
that blind structure sucks tho. kills the action if 2 good players are playing. basically goes fold, fold, fold, fold, fold.... |
