He doesn't even sound like your friend (friend of your brother). I'd just appologize to the host of the game and possibly all the players there.
They'll respect you for it and realize that you brought someone whom you didn't know very well. Then they'll forget about it and you can have fun. I'd go right back if that's what I normally would have done. I certainly wouldn't miss out on the game for my own embarassment. Don't sweat it... when you appologize, everyone there will probably say the same thing.

so I havent had chance to answer Q's. I have apologised but still taking a break from poker for a month or two. (other things in life after all) And yes my idiotic friend didnt keep his winnings but should have been walking home in the rain, by himself. Sorry to necrobump, wanted to finish the thread but couldnt sooner as explained before.
