Sending checks / money orders from US?

I use BoA and am trying to fund some money on PokerStars. Does anyone have any experience mailing cashier's checks overseas to them?

I already e-mailed their support, but they seem dreadfully oblivious to the US legislation. They said the cashier's checks would work, but then they also went on to recommend that I sign up for ePassporte or simply fund my account through VISA. Obviously, those aren't options for me, so I don't know what to think about whether my cashier's check will work.
