Matusow actually had 16 outs, not 21 as he said on the circuit. Ts8s takes out 2 spades, and the other 3 nines give T8 a straight.

[ QUOTE ]
If I check called the flop I would cr the turn all-in against an aggresive player like Mike. It looks very very strong, and you are almost never in really bad shape.

This is what I thought would be a superior line when talking to sirio. He then told me about his concern of him checking behind. But now thinking about it, Mike checking behind is just fine with me.

Check raising the turn gives us a good chance of getting some better hands to fold, we have very little chance of this with any other line. And it doesn't put us in a tough spot of making a big call if we lead the turn and he pushes.

Yeah, I like check raising the turn.

Well... You (almost) did what I told you, except it wasn't a bad beat you put him on. I like your line here, and it's clear to me you could count in the bounty when calculating odds.

wow - your line is interesting, but you really don't have a big enough hand to be worrying about the free card and getting outdrawn. this is tailor made for c/r all in - if he checks behind, fine.

David,

The smartest thing you did was get Mike talking and view his reaction. He plays so many hands and will go AI with nearly any two.

I bet he honestly forgot the bounty and when you brought it up, he probably thought he made a tactical error....and it showed.

You can analzye the hell out board, etc. but his physical reaction is the most important aspect of the hand.

Well done, David.

Please, please, please post this picture of you and MM. It will be priceless.

Ciao,

Mack

1.I fold T8 ss preflop.
2.I def bet the flop....just because thats what i do, with the plan of firing again on the turn but folding to a big reraise on the flop if it happens....
3.I check raise the turn allin...and check call an allin push on the turn....the bounty equity is enormous.

4.If there were no bounty, I would be less inclined to check the turn., and more inclined to just firs big or shove.

Hmm, I like the preflop raise with the enormous implied odds, but have no problem getting away from this on the flop as my point with raising was not to get into a pissing match with Matusow with a marginal hand and 100xBBs.

By the way, I am not taking into account the bounty or history/image between Matusow and Sirio - both of which are playing a big role here I'm sure.
