Default 3-handed 4/8 what did i get myself into here...

its 7am in the morning, i walk a mile to the nearest casino

villian is pretty aggro
we are both showdown monkeys

previous hand

button folds, villian raises from the sb
HERO 3bs AhTh, villian calls

flop T54 one club, villian c/cs

turn Qc, villian c/rs, HERO calls

river 7c, villian bets, HERO calls

villian shows Jc8c

hand vs other player QT9 flop one heart
villian peels a turn, turn 2, river 4
he raises button flips 2h4h

this hand.

button folds, villian raises, HERO calls 56o in the bb

flop is A64 one heart, villian bets
HERO raises, villian calls

turn 4h, villian checks, HERO checks

river 5, villian bets, HERO hesitates and raises

villian 3bets

HERO really really wants to fold
now feels compelled to call since he hesitated

I don't get the turn check/river raise. You check the turn to induce a bluff bet on the river and/or to avoid a bluff C/R on the turn and SD cheaply against a player you can't trust. Any hand that calls your river raise other than 22/33/K high has you beat

there is a huge disconnect between your turn check and river raise. the only difference the river made was that now you scoop vs 6x when before you chopped. turn check makes no sense against a showdown monkey, I'd just bet and make a thin vb on all rivers.

all those hands are well within his range
all those hands will call me down
i will also get paid off by a worse 6
since i went ahead and checked the turn
my thinking was i played my hand like 78, 37, 23
all hands within my range i defend everything
he knows this we play everything against eachother
and at first thought i could not get raised
but i hesitated and thought there was a chance
i could possibly be getting bluffraised here
another move this villian is quite capable of here

if it wasnt a 5 i wouldnt have even considered raising
the whole way i played this hand makes absolutely no sense
so im fully expecting to get called down by Khi too
he may think im bluffraising him and may try to rebluff me
this whole game was a stupid lagfest between us
while we were splitting up the other players money
