Default QQ in weird 3bet pot with overcard on flop, 150 BB deep (NL50)

Never seen villian before tonight. Seems very tagfishy. Opened to 7x BB the hand before also and maybe 2 other times in the past 4 or 5 orbits, but wasn't doing it all the time. Opened to 4x usually. Probably playing like 20/16, but bad postflop as far as I could tell (maybe just not hitting flops). Not too worried about the CC having me beat preflop, but a big ace is possible and maybe KQs.

One pot of note that I saw from villian was he called a min3bet with QQ earlier with another guy that was 150 deep. He just called on an 8 high flop then got CRAI and he called with QQ on a turn K (other guy had KK). I thought he played it decently fwiw except for calling the c/r.

If I check here its with the intention of calling down if he leads turn and river. If I bet though I'm not completely sure how to respond since he has taken every pot down preflop when he's raised to 7x the BB so I don't really know what his range is.

Make it at least $14 pre-flop.

Check flop.

I like firing the flop >>>>>>>>>> than calling down turn and river.

Preflop should be a little higher.

Preflop raise is strong enough IMO. The dilemma about this hand is CO. If he has a hand he will definitely slowplay it here to get maximum value via your c-bet with typical shortstack hands like KQ, KJ etc. He already called 1/2 of the pot so he's not folding any better hand here, though he probably wont fold any worse hand either.

You don't wanna continue this hand much further if you bet and get called by MP2 but still it's a c-bet for about $15-$20. If you don't make a c-bet MP2 will probably push the turn even without a hand.

EDIT: no, your preflop raise isn't strong enough. I misread handhistory. Preflop raise to about $16 next time.

My excuse for the preflop 3bet is that its still 24 BB even though it is an underbet of the pot and does not give him the odds to setmine. I decided to check and the turn made my further play easy when it brought a Q and the CO shoved AJ and MP2 didn't overcall me.

I'd bet the flop and check the turn. IMO the shortstack is going all-in regardless, but would have shoved in front of you with a hand that beats you.
