Most of us realize the QB rating is pretty piss-poor. What irks me about it is you get sports radio callers who think David Carr is a good QB because his QB rating is high because of his penchant for 4 yard horizontal passing and lamenting gun-slinging the ball downfield in fear of throwing an INT.

So having a "maximum" score doesn't imply perfection, it implies that the person did well in every component of the calculation.

But you got to love Grossman's game log: http://www.nfl.com/players/rexgrossm...mp;season=2006 Last year, he had games of 10.2, 36.8, 1.3, and 0.0. And still kept his starting job.
