this is a joke

hall of fame better put an explanation saying this fan branded it because he is a moran

[/ QUOTE ]

that's the whole point. i don't get why people are mad at the HoF for wanting the ball to be in cooperstown. it's a huge part of baseball history, and people are choked over it going there? doesn't make any sense to me. i may not entirely agree (or disagree) with ecko's decision but either way, the ball should be in the hall, branded or not

Ecko is being a selfish [censored]. Sure he _can_ do whatever he wants with it. But that ball is an historical artifact to a bunch of baseball fans, and he is defacing it. He knows they care about it, but his PR stunt is more important to him.

If he bought a Picasso and pissed on it every day in public you don't think art lovers would be upset?

Kudos to Mark Ecko. The controversy surrounding Barry Bonds's ascension to the Home Run King is just as important as the actual ascension himself. Branding the ball ensures that future generations will always know about the public debate about Barry Bonds, no matter how they feel about him 30 years from now.

No it isn't. And no branding doesn't ensure that in any way.

I cant believe the HOF would accept the ball with it on it, unless I guess its real small and they can show it in a way its not visible.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
Why is the anger directed at Ecko instead of the museum for accepting it. He won the ball at auction and can do (or try to do) whatever the hell he wants with it. He can only ask the HoF if they'll take it; the decision to display it lies with them.

Marc Ecko is a [censored] clown. I really hope the HoF doesnt put a branded bal on display. I'm thinking about going to macy's and branding every piece of [censored] ecko clothing.

Dont worry, he will have an asterisk clothing "brand" soon enough.
