Re: Advice on men\'s suits.
The salesperson will be able to provide guidance as far as all of the options you'll have to choose... My suits are all 3-button BTW...

Disregard the advice you have gotten thus far. You'd be better off making your own suit than going to Men's Wearhouse. Go to Macy's, or Nordstrom or wherever and look at some of the clearance stuff. I have gotten fantastic Ralph Lauren, Oscar Delarenta, Hugo Boss, DKNY, Perry Ellis, Nautica, and quite a bit more for aboout what you're looking to spend. When they want the stuff out, they really knock it down really far. Don't buy cheap suits. People who know, KNOW. It's not good. Especially if you're going to be trying to achieve coital acts with club broads. They smell your fear when you're just trying to pass. So do it right. [/ QUOTE ] QFMFT. Cut through a Macy's today at the area outdoor mall and saw a massive suit sale there. Ended up buying a $850 Hugo Boss suit, with alterations, for just under $300. Shipppppppppppp. |

Re: Advice on men\'s suits.
Two Button definitely for Clubbing. I personally like super 120's and 130's (which refers to the thread count which in tern makes the suit have a softer, sheen to it). Most department stores are going through sales right now.
Dillards should still be running theirs. Depending on your cut I'd recommend a Harts Shaftner Marx Gold line or a Hickey Friedman suit (the latter for a more slim physique). They are both high quality suits that are running on sale at Dillards. Josseph Abboud and Hugo Boss if you can be willing to drop 500 or so. Nordstroms has the former on sale for 1/3rd off. I love their style and they have a tapered look so if you're slim, they will wear over you very close to a tailored suit (or more so than other, bigger cut suits like Jos A Banks or Harts Shaftner marx). Oddly enough, Ebay is a great source for suits if you're willing to gamble a bit. I've bought two from the site and both have been exactly what I was expecting and of high quality with extreme savings. The Macy's here doesn't sell Hugo Boss, so i've decided to wait a while on buying my pimp (power) suit and try to keep an eye out for a good deal on a Boss suit throughout the year. |

I've had good luck with Express for a look like that.

Thanks for the advice. I'm kinda diggin this one; http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/in...kType=EverGreen Three button, two button? Does it matter? What makes it obvious to people if the suit is a piece of [censored] or quality? [/ QUOTE ] Tubbs? |

Re: Advice on men\'s suits.
I hit up the polo stores fire sale earlier this year, got some $1300 retail suits for $600 including tailoring, they look SHARP.
Suits never go out of style, so just find them on sale. Macys and Nordstroms have some ridiculous sales from time to time like 70% off. |
