If you're playing rebuys conservatively - attempting to minimize your buy-ins, I'm not sure there's much of a point of playing as you might as well just play a freezout

it's ok to fold there. they may be maniacs, but getting to showdown here will be expensive. and they are more likely to improve. you got a pair. you're probably ahead 40% of the time.

[/ QUOTE ]
if hero is ahead here 40% of the time it is a clear push cause of the pot odds.

[/ QUOTE ]not if he only gets one caller. [ QUOTE ]
in a 5$ rebuy i'd always push here as people reraise here with TPTK or similar.

[/ QUOTE ]yes, it is close. whoever triples up here is going to be the table bully.

I just want to make it clear to the OP and I hope other people help make this point too, it isn't close at all, it is a VERY clear that you should NEVER fold that hand in that spot.

I think shoving preflop is a good play only if you know that your table is doing the same thing, rebuy tables are tight sometimes and you would be missing out on a hell of a lot of value by straight shoving and picking up just the blinds. If the table doesn't seems LAGGY then I say make a raise just above standard to 150 and then lead out with big bets maybe even all in on the flop, it wont hurt to make a big bet on the flop and then get all in on the turn.

Easy Push.

First, it's a rebuy.

Second we have a big overpair and we're still in rebuy.
