Busted Flush Draw OOP
Villan is 58/12 when I played this hand. He earlier called me down with Bottom pair on the flop, hit his flush draw on the turn and called a pot size bet there. He appears to call pretty much anytime he has any sort of piece of the flop.
Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 7 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $25 Acehawk74: $26.30 MP1: $27.25 CO: $29.20 Button: $50.10 SB: $9.81 BB: $30.25 Pre-flop: (7 players) Acehawk74 is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, Acehawk74 raises to $1, 2 folds, Button calls, 2 folds. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($2.35, 2 players) Acehawk74 checks, Button bets $2, Acehawk74 calls $2 (pot was $4.35). Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($6.35, 2 players) Acehawk74 bets $4, Button raises to $9, Acehawk74 calls $5 (pot was $19.35). River: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($24.35, 2 players) Acehawk74 checks, Button bets $10, Acehawk74 folds. Uncalled bets: $10 returned to Button. Results: Final pot: $24.35 Preflop - table had been pretty tight for a few orbits, hence the raise preflop. Would a limp be better with this type of hand, or even a fold? Flop - Hitting the flush draw, I figured it would be best to check to attempt to get a free card. Looking back, I believe this might've been the time to semi-bluff as opposed to the turn, but as played, i'm not sure of this call here. Turn - I wasn't sure how to handle this raise. Does anyone call this raise, or push over the top, or was I simply reaching here with this. River - With 3rd pair on the board, I wasn't able to call here. I feel that I made some mistakes in this hand. Thoughts? |

Re: Busted Flush Draw OOP
I hate playing draws OOP. As played, you have to cbet the flop - represent AK protecting against a draw and if it were to hit, your opponent likely won't see it coming.
What are you representing on the turn? |

Re: Busted Flush Draw OOP
Fold preflop. Bet the flop. Check/call the turn.
Atleast you got the river right. |

Re: Busted Flush Draw OOP
Yeah, we gotta bet that flop. Our fold equity is too good, and even if it's not, our draw can save us.

Re: Busted Flush Draw OOP
Yeah, bet the pot on the flop, c/c the turn, and bet the river if you think he can let a pair go
