apply pressure behind the earlobes. hold the breath at random intervals. exhale slowly. works a ton for me, and can be done for others, preferably non-obese women.

My trick:
Offer the person with the hiccups something of value (either a drink or like a dollar) to hiccup one more time. Listen, pressure them. Never fails. |

those tricks don't work with real hiccups. The general idea behind all these gimmicks is that if you think about hiccupping then you wont be able to. This only solves minor hiccups. Major hiccups will force their way out and can last for hours.
