Wow amazing thread with some very advanced thinking.
As to the abuse you've received Greg, please understand that sometimes in the kingdom of the blind, the one eyed man is not king. He is considered arrogant and plays medium pocket pairs waaaaay too aggressively.
I think some people here just can't get over the fact that you're going all in with 88. Period. Proving pretty emphatically that it's +EV for the situation described just doesn't cut it.
You're trying to explain space flight to cavemen.

Honestly I'm done posting. This is unbelieveable. I'm glad some people enjoyed my thread.

To everyone else who keeps posting questions and statements 1) with no backup and 2) that I have already answered numerous times, *read* my previous posts. They answer the questions. If you still disagree it's because you're a better poker player than I'll ever be. That's all.

GL with SSNL guys.

Greg

great. i blame the rest of you.

i'd come to pretty similar conclusions a while ago greg, after i played a hand vs jamougha where he tried to c/r AI vs me with 98 on a K9x board.

At first i was like WHAT, then i realised that there were a shedload of of spots like this available. the level of thought to call 88 in this spot, or JJ in the hand that i linked, is 1 step on, vs people whom u figure can think on the previous level (which is already a relatively high one)
