A couple semi-thin river VBs
Villain is unknown, but smallish stack, so I'm playing the hand assuming he sucks.
Yeah I know I effed up the turn bet. For some reason I was thinking he would have less behind, so I could still make a normalish river VB. Re: A couple semi-thin river VBs
Hand 1: he either has a draw or an A (ldo). Problem is: only 4 lower aces in the deck (9753) that you beat. He's not calling with 8d9d. So i like a larger turn bet, and a check on the river trying to induce (calling everything under 1/2 PSB and debating the rest).
Hand 2: std. |

Re: A couple semi-thin river VBs
Quick post didn't read carefully but..
1st hand: A8,A6 will raise flop or turn more often A4, will raise turn or river more often A2, river AK,AQ will reraise preflop more often. So it becomes, A3,A5,A7,A8,A9,AT,AJ(discounted as well as AQ/AK) v your AT for value or losing some of them to a check behind versus draws and their tendency to bluff. Sometimes he will have AX of hearts too. In otherwords is he the type to defend his blind with any ace, or more often with a draw or suited aces. If he seems to be a defender I'd tag him with the first 1 at first, if not the second more so. For both cases bet more on the turn, for the first bet the river, and for the later check. 2nd hand is fine. |
