Default My Line here. Stud8

Hey, I never play Stud8. I have a FT in stud but never played 8.

I was playing last night and a constant scenario seemed to keep coming up.

I would make something like K high flush with a mid to A2 low draw and I kept bricking. I have a perticular hand. Is this Spewing did I overplay this hand thinking my draw was a monster when it wasnt? This isnt a bad beat post. I really want to know. I kept seeing this coming up and I was never making my hand so I want to know on what street to stop spewing.

I think 3rd street would be a good place to fold. Your flush draw might be marginally playable if all your cards are live, but there are two clubs in the other hands.

I'm not an expert, though. If you are fairly sure that you can play that starting hand profitably you might want to listen to someone else.

Fold on third. Two clubs are out; your flush draw goes down in value.

Having caught really good on fourth, you're more committed to the hand -- any club, high or low, is a win for you. I like the bet on fourth, but you should shift gears to check-calling. With your board you are reasonably likely to get a much-needed free card, or even two.

Right, I was multi tabling so I didnt notice that. I raised since I knew it was short handed and rather high blinds. I agree about 3rd street seeming like a fold.

Now on 4th the Ac comes. Giving me a low and flush draw.

I still figured that even an Ace would be a good card. now by 5th it looks like he is chasing a straight or has got there.

You've never played stud/8, but you were multi-tabling so you didn't, or couldn't, notice that 2 of your suit were gone on 3rd, which is when you should have folded. I think you've identified the cause of the spewing problem.

Is this a cash game or a tournament? The chip counts seem weird.

Liek everyone else said, fold third, not only because your clubs are dead but also because your low draw aint great.

Also, I would check sixth.

What are the stakes? I play low-limit HORSE tournaments on Full Tilt and generally play this hand like you did (might fold 3rd, might not). I see enough weird folds on 6th that I don't mind your bet. 4th and 5th seem like fairly obvious bets.

First, raising 26J, whether suited or not is idiotic. That's a marginal limp - especially with the J showing.

Second, draws (even very strong ones) aren't the type of hands to be pushing heads up. If you're in a hand with 4 or 5 others, sure, raise your 4flush for value, but heads up it's just A high.

When you start this game with less than 3 premium cards, going one way or the other, you're going to brick off an awful lot.
