$50nl - AJ vs. Insane Clown Posse
Villain is 80/30 and aggressive postflop turn check was very questionable IMO.
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $52.70 UTG+1: $14.90 CO: $65.20 Button: $48.15 Hero: $49.50 BB: $19.75 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 folds, Button calls, Hero raises to $2.5, BB calls, Button calls. I call. Your range almost never likes that Q...

Re: $50nl - AJ vs. Insane Clown Posse
Well what hands could he have?
If he's really aggressive post flop, what does he normally do when you bet the flop? raise? call and bet turn? If he has a flush, you have 7 outs to the nuts. that's like a 14%, and you're behind. Since you checked the turn, and he shoved, doesn't look like a flush..but that doesn't mean it isn't. He has position so i don't know why he would make a bet you couldn't call, but i think i call and outdraw his Queen. |

Re: $50nl - AJ vs. Insane Clown Posse
someone as crazy as that is going to bet everytime hes checked to at these limits i think u have to bet that turn, he could literally have anything theres no reason to think the Q helped him.
althought it sucks making a bet that u expect wil get shoved on i think make it like 14 on the turn and call a shove this will give u like 3:1 to call and id say other than ur flush outs alot of the time i think you'll find you have got another 5 in aces and jacks. |

Re: $50nl - AJ vs. Insane Clown Posse
Lead out the turn and see what he does in response, by checking you let him put the pressure on you. Betting out is a better option and then go from your opponents response to your bet.

Betting out is a better option and then go from your opponents response to your bet. [/ QUOTE ] against this player i dont even think you can bet/fold. i like the check, not with the intention of keeping the pot small, but to sort of trap the guy into making a crazy bluff. i call and i dont feel bad if im behind. |

Re: $50nl - AJ vs. Insane Clown Posse
Dude, there is no objectively correct answer here, you just have to go with your read at the table, "aggressive postflop" is way too vague for us to help IMHO, same thing with the flop and turn lines really.

Well I was 8 tabling and I had noticed recently a lot of betting by him postflop, nothing specific.

Re: $50nl - AJ vs. Insane Clown Posse
I would probably value bet the turn here against a villian like this and call a push. If he continues with the hand I expect his range to be worse pair + heart more often than a better hand.
As played I still call expecting to see a worse hand + draw a good enough percentage of the time despite the flop call. |
