Default Thoughts on coaching rates/quality

So I know theres lots of pro/coaches around the forum, and I was having some thoughts about how your coaching rate (and hourly rate from normal play) relates to the quality of your coaching. There are really 3 cases here of note:
(CR = hourly rate one charges for coaching)
(PR = one's average hourly winrate from playing poker)

1) CR > PR
--- Something is wrong here, unless the coach is a great theoretician that doesn't like to actually play poker. Their coaching is probably pretty solid though, since thats what they specialize in.
2) CR = PR
--- This is also a good situation, because you know that he is putting forth a good deal of effort to earn that money. However, perhaps not his best effort, because he knows that if he loses his coaching business due to poor quality, he can still make that much money playing.
3) CR < PR
--- Perhaps the worst case, unless the coach truly enjoys his job and the break it gives him from high-variance grinding. A likely result is lackluster effort.

These are all affected as well by the perceived market value of a coach. If a coach is publicly lauded as "a great bargain" then he may present a lower quality effort as a result. If a coach is over-priced relative to the market, he will generally lose business. But, should a coach really want business at a rate lower than his playing hourly, if it would lead to deleterious effects on the quality of his coaching?

I guess the long and short of it is, what should really govern a coaches hourly rate in the market?

Something like this is hard to determine and depends on a LOT of factors imo.
