100NL: 3bet pot with T9s
Hi,
Villain is 20/11/1.6 over 60 hands. The table has been quite taggy and i had been stealing blinds quite a bit, so, when he raised me i thought he was just playing back at me. This brings me to my first question, how do you determine if someone is playing back at you or if in fact they do have the goods? what factors do u take into consideration? Secondly, WTF do i do on the turn?? I'm torn between betting again and folding pairs <KK and checking for the free card. Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1.00 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $160.65 BB: $68.10 UTG: $23.85 MP: $101.45 CO: $52.75 Hero (BTN): 106.95 Preflop: Hero is dealt T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players) 3 folds, Hero raises to $4.00, SB raises to $12.00, BB folds, Hero calls $8.00 Flop: ($25) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB checks, Hero bets $16.00, SB calls $16.00 Turn: ($57) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB checks, Hero ????????? |

[ QUOTE ]
Any other heart will kill the action. You should bet (shove) here. [/ QUOTE ] Shoving is kind of awkward here. What if i bet about $36 and fold to shove? |

ohhhh sorry: I thought the 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] was a 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] -> check behind. You have outs. If he checks the tiver again we may bluff.

Re: 100NL: 3bet pot with T9s
yep i check here as well. if you make the hand it's very likely to win a large pot because its not the hand you would typically call a resteal with.
apart from that you can think about a river bluff. |

If he called the flop instantly I'd bet. If he didnt then id check.

Re: 100NL: 3bet pot with T9s
It's a very dry flop, since he called your bet I'm guessing he either has a PP or caught a piece of the board. This is going to make it tough to get a fold out of him so take the free card.
Catching someone playing back at you is more of a "feel" thing for me. If someone consistently 3-bets me sooner or later I'll make a stand. Usually I'll wait until I have SC just in case it turns out he has a hand. |
