Default 25 NL: KQs passivity (with a 65s bonus)

Villain in this hand liked to be the center of attention at the table, and eventually I had a note that said so. He's 45/30/7 after 104, and ridiculous as those stats may sound, his play didn't seem quite so absurd at the time. He was in love with the min-raise (once he did it with 52o), so the 30 preflop-raise percentage may be a little exaggerated, and he did sometimes fold postlop.

So here I am in a hand where I think there's a good chance I'm best but I don't know what to do (I come from a limit background, and it seems weird just to let my opponent take control of the hand with the idea that I'm not going anywhere unless he bets more but he can take it if he bets enough):

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($12.65)
Hero ($25)
UTG ($25.65)
UTG+1 ($24.90)
MP1 ($18.60)
MP2 ($25.35)
MP3 ($8.95)
CO ($53.90)
Button ($17.55)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $0.5</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero calls $0.25.

Flop: ($1.10) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $0.75</font>, Hero calls $0.75.

Turn: ($2.60) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $0.5</font>, Hero calls $0.50.

River: ($3.60) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, CO checks.

Final Pot: $3.60

Here's a later hand. I had less respect for him by this time (not that I was awed in the first place or anything), which sort of helps explain the different approach. Another explanation is that I like to mix things up sometimes. Also, though, by this time Villain had lost a couple of decent-sized pots and seemed to bet tilting a little.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP1 ($20.35)
Hero ($29)

UTG+1 ($23.20)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $0.5</font>, UTG+1 calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>.

Flop: ($1.85) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $1</font>, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls $1.

Turn: ($3.85) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $1.25</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $5</font>, UTG calls $3.75.

River: ($13.85) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $5</font>, Hero calls $5.

Final Pot: $23.85

Thoughts? The second hand was more exciting and more fun, for what that's worth.

I don't really know where to begin commenting on the hands since it's full ring and not 6max, but I figured I'd point this out.

Don't mix things up at the very low stakes. This is FPS. Just play solid ABC poker and ship the monies.

I hear what you're saying, and it's something I've thought about. On the other hand, it's not as if our opponents are static targets (this Villain wasn't), and it's not as if there's always a play that's clearly best on average either (or if there is, I don't always know what it is).

You're right of course, but I'm not getting involved with 65s to put money in with bottom pair against the PFR and I'm definitely not sticking around on the turn with bottom pair + a gutshot against most reasonable opponents. This float + turn semibluff just seems like FPS to me and calling it "mixing it up" is kind of silly IMO.
