I read authors serially. I find one I like and read everything they've written. He is my current obsession.

One of my favourite writers. I'm currently rereading his second autobiography, "Ways of Escape". Brilliant. "The Quiet American" should be required reading in this day and age.

Greene is perhaps my favorite author of the 20th century. In addition to the great works listed above, "A Burnt-Out Case" is incredible.

Micro Review/Warning - He did become excessively religious later in his career, and you have to put up with quite a bit of heavy-handed imagery. Not a big problem in things like Brighton Rock and The Third Man though.

brighton rock is great. i read it for english class and it was one of the few times i really enjoyed all the commentary the prof was making on it. there's lots of good stuff in that book.

He has two autobiographies that are really great. I'd recommend them to just about anybody.
