If you look at combine performance, Vernon could be one of the most athletically gifted players at any position to ever come out of college. Same with Mario Williams. I would be interested to see how Julius Peppers' numbers compared to Mario's.

No team has ever won the title 3 straight years and was what they were trying to do. Nice try though.

North Alabama is the only scholarship school to do it from 91-93 I believe. No Division 1 school has ever done it. It has been done in D2 and I also believe in D3 but I am not sure about that.

And I have my doubts about Bush, being as I don't see him being a 20-25 carry back and in the NFL you have to be that. Bush is comparable to Warrick Dunn IMHO. His talent is unquestionable though, but only in the right offense. I am taking Ferguson

IMO, including Leinart & Young and leaving out Cutler is a big oversight. Cutler will have the best NFL career. That being said, I vote for D'Brickashaw without even having to think much about the rest of the list.

Is there any reason why?

i dont really follow football much beyond the patriots. drafting a sturdy d-lineman is always your best bet. (See: Wilfork, Vince. Seymour, Richard. McGinest, Willie). so, if any of those guys are d-line then i pick him.

too many can't miss college guys at skill positions flop, but when you have the body and the physical tools to play d-line, its more sure. unless you are talking about that guy who tried to kill himself. but besides that guy, yea.

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually it's a pretty common opinion among NFL scouts that D-Lineman is the hardest position for which to forecast success in the NFL.

I initially wrote one championship, then changed it to plural since he was on both teams.

Bush. I don't know enough about Ferguson. I think Vince will be a minor bust.

[/ QUOTE ]
There is no such thing as a minor bust, you are either a bust or you aren't.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sure there is. Vince young is going to be a high draftpick with enormous expectations to be a superstar. I think he will have a somewhat productive NFL career (think Aaron Brooks) but will not be a star. Therefore, he will be a minor bust.

VY turning into Aaron Brooks would be a major bust.

Reggie Bush is god.

Vince Young will be Aaron Brooks with better legs. (note, I am very much in that "Vince Young is way overrated and drafting QBs who can't throw good is dumb" camp).
