When I thought about the hand later that night though I convinced myself that checking was better and that seems to be the concensus here. Villain only has 2/3 outs if behind and I'm pretty sure the extra bets gained from him bluffing or when he makes a light call on the river that he might not have made on the turn more than make up for giving him a free 6-9% equity in the pot. This looks like a real sexy spot for villain to c/r AI on the turn. If he has AA/KK/QQ your hand is basically face up. Even if villain doesn't bet the river, he's probably calling a half-pot value bet with 77-JJ
