10NL- AA flops set, how to extract?
Villain was 54/4/4 over 80 hands, and had a flop AF of 2.4.
Do you like a 3-bet here, or C/R? You hsould take out the final pot in red.
If you cbet a lot i like a lead. If called check the turn (ive been doing this lately) and it seems to work, especially if i bet a lot of flops. |

Re: 10NL- AA flops set, how to extract?
Either C/C or bet about 1.75 to induce a raise..Do not C/R what hand can villain have that pays you off..If villain has an under set or AK there going in any way you play it..These are also the only hands that will pay off a C/R..A C/R may also let some villains get away from AK..Checking allows other hands a chance to bluff or catch up a little..

Re: 10NL- AA flops set, how to extract?
jam pot if he tries to semi bluff with a draw. If he bets the flop he's likely to have a big hand or air anyways, like AK/AQ or some kind of underpair to the board/whiffed cards. You'll also collect extra bets from hands that are drawing dead like KK and QQ against some opponents on later streets.
If villian has a set he is going to bet this board always on the flop IMO... |

Re: 10NL- AA flops set, how to extract?
Every reason you gave is why you DO NOT check raise..You are trying to extract bets out of these hands..A C/R will blow them off the hand and not give them the chance to lose there stack when there JJ/QQ(for example) turns a set..
What draw can villain have that would raise PF then call a RR??? |
