Re: I\'m bringin\' sexyback
You don't really say how the bad player is bad. If he's very loose/aggressive, I think that raising to isolate has merit. If he's loose/passive or straightforward, I think folding is much better.
With all the third street action, the pot's big enough that I think you should see the river more often than not. I wouldn't necessarily count on the other guy to bet my hand for me on sixth street. Then again, maybe he won't be able to resist the temptation to bet Kings-up against what all of a sudden appears to be two smaller pair. |

Re: I\'m bringin\' sexyback
I would bet 6th and maybe fold 4th.

If he is aggressive, I think 5th is a good opportunity to check-raise. [/ QUOTE ] No offense, but I think this is a terrible idea. |

Re: I\'m bringin\' sexyback
3rd street is close, usually its dependent on how bad your opponent with the 6 tends to be, and the bad player's style. Often bad players tend to call way too much but only raise with a good hand, so you need to be careful. If he is a LAG I probably go ahead and re-raise here though.
As for the rest of the hand, I think you should continue 5th very often, especially if the player with the 6 decides to get out on 5th. Also, you will probably have position on both of them a good portion of the time, which means your calls on 5th/6th are likely to close the action. I would take the line of calling the whole way unless someone catches something scary. As for 6th street, I usually just play straight forward and bet, but going for the check raise seems like a good idea against an aggressive opponent who cant seem to lay down a hand. |

Re: I\'m bringin\' sexyback
Oops, I misread the hand. I meant to suggest check-raising 6th street if he calls 5th street and is an aggressive player.

I did the straightforward play and bet out 6th and 7th. He called and I won. He started with two Aces in the hole.
I still think checkraising (either 6th or 7th) is the slightly better play than betting out. Almost every player than sits in these 30/60 games will bet two big pair when checked to on 6th or 7th, and after his 3rd and 5th street play it is pretty clear that this is his hand. Check/raising 5th is bad because it looks too suspicious, and we don't want both players to stay in the hand and get free cards (which would likely be what would happen). Also, if we checked 5th and somehow he did bet it, I think there's a much better chance he folds to the check/raise than on 6th (or 7th), since on those later streets players feel like they are too close to showdown not to see one. |

Re: I\'m bringin\' sexyback
FWIW I don't play the Party 30/60 games and I am new to stud. Anyway checking sixth I think is not right. Your board is drawy, yeah, but you also raised a bad player into two kings on third, so you probably really do have a pair of 7s. The reason he is calling you is he thinks you have a hidden pair in the hole and can beat two pair or is hoping to catch. I think two big pair might check behind on sixth and one pair definitely will. Look at it from the two big pair perspective: he is either way ahead or way behind of you so betting probably isn't right. And he can't really fold to a c/r if he has two pair. Interestingly if you are sure he is going to call sixth, then checking if you don't have trips here might be right since he will be very likely to check behind and give you a free card.
