Can a Dealer Coach a Player During a Hand?

Bernie -- I agree completely, but "tapping the muck" is the rule in that card room. Interestingly, the floor also gave us an advisory opinion. If the person with QQ had asked to see the hand, it would have been a live hand, just as if I (the "winner" of the hand) had asked to see it.

dealers should have to post like 1k or something in order to deal. Every time they cost a player the pot, they have to pay out to that player, and then replenish the difference. That will keep them in line.

This is a judgement call. Technically, the dealer shouldn't say anything. At low limits though, I think the dealer saying "Don't you want to turn your cards up?" is very appropriate and appreciated by most players. If the player shakes his head no, then no further speech from the dealer should be acceptable. The pot should have gone to the player with 33, and frankly the dealer screwed him out of it in this case. He went a little too far to help the noob.
