How would you play 99 OOP on a dry flop?

I posted a hand in uNL (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...art=2&vc=1). and you don't have to read the specific hand, but basically I called a CO raise on the BB with 99. The flop came something like 637o.

I'm posting here, because there were a lot of different opinions in the uNL thread and I'm looking for more input on how this type of situation should be approached in general. A couple people said I should c/c. Someone said I should c/r. Someone else said I should lead out and fold to a raise.
My thought was that if I know they c-bet frequently I should c/r, otherwise I should lead out to prevent giving a free card with what figures to be the best hand. As for how I should respond to a raise, I'm not really sure, but it'd look like a fold if I knew they were passive. With no read I guess I could assume them to be more likely to c-bet than not (25NL).

Yeah, c/c as standard, c/r or donk only if you feel the need to merge ranges, which most times is pretty dumb

I'm fine letting villain draw to his 6 outer, no need to protect really.

Assuming he needs to make a hand to win with position...argh.

If im the preflop raiser with say KQs and I get coldcalled on a flop like that and then say an Ace hits the board...im taking that pot many times with a tricky half pot bet on turn.

An ace is Gin for me there.

Iunno...im a decent player though.

Thanks for the input, but I was looking for reasoning more than just a roll call of what everyone would do.

I gather from shpanko's second post that the villain probably doesn't have enough outs for me to worry about protecting my hand. By leading I may just steal the pot, but if I check then he'll most likely c-bet, getting me more profit out of a worse hand.

Am I right in this thinking?

Totally dependent on villian. if he c-bets everything, check raise and lead safe turn with a solid bet.

if he likes to fold, lead out.

If he is very straightforward (ie plays with his cards face up, practically) check and see what he does. if he checks, take cotrol on safe turn.
