Re: Flopped a boat but I may have to fold?
If bb is on megatilt, that is pretty important information for this hand.

If anyone in this hand is on any form of tilt then you obviously cannot fold. 3-betting is probably the play.

Re: Flopped a boat but I may have to fold?
Ok - fair enough. Some interesting views.
I was very confident I had the BB but UTG is a solid player. I called and thankfully BB checked behind. BB had QKo UTG had QTs I tanked for a long time on the river call and yes, in the end, the fact that BB could have anything made it a call. Interesting hand but I think the very best players would have folded. |

I don't think folding a boat here is something you need to be doing to be the best 10/20 player online. Not even close.
And really the flop, you gotta raise. |

Re: Flopped a boat but I may have to fold?
If the BB was on megatilt then the very best players would not have folded. If there was any shenanigans going on, it's not unlikely that a so-called solid player like UTG would go far with a Q and that is by far the most likely hand in this scenario. BB on tilt could have anything. Unless he wasn't seriously tilting, but you did say megatilt. The fact that UTG would be likely to play against megatilt guy almost as if he was free-rolling means no good player folds this river. Ever.

Nah this is AQ/KQ too much for you to fold.
And obv raise flop (but you know that) |

Re: Flopped a boat but I may have to fold?
But there are degrees of megatilt - lol.
I have no doubt both are winning players. A winning player's tilt is far different from a losing players. Perhaps my thoughts that a good player makes a fold here is results orientated. I still can't see what UTG could have though that I can beat. The VERY WORST he has is AQ. Now he knows I am a decent player and I am not 3 betting that turn without AQ at the very least. He also knows that the tilter (despite his tilt) is not a complete fool therefore has to have a queen or better. Now he knows he has a queen himself so one of us has to have better. Yet he still raises that river. The more I think about it, the more I think it was a fold. |

Re: Flopped a boat but I may have to fold?
I think the main problem is that based on the info we had we couldnt fold, him tilting makes it even less doable
some 30/20 types are definitely capable of going too far with hands postflop, or spweing. the nitty postflop or tight/solid guys u could probably fold. ie if the two villains were two of me or two of u playing/ running well and not on tilt or playing like 8 tables folding would be correct.fwiw i would never a) cap the turn here with AQ as bb and b) raise the river as utg with Qx or J9. some 30/20s could be prone to doing either regularly or atleast when not playing well or things arent going well. 3betting the river ever is like the worst spew imaginable tho |

Perhaps my thoughts that a good player makes a fold here is results orientated. [/ QUOTE ] folding full houses in enormous pots isn't what seperates the good players from the great players, this situation comes up like never edit: it does look like a lot of good mhsh posters say fold though |

Re: Flopped a boat but I may have to fold?
i have def. played hands where i will raise mediocre holdings when a tilter bets out with a good player behind me, forcing the good player to fold a better hand.
