Default Weird KK hand Main Event

Gonna do this one in steps. 50/100 blinds. 20K starting stacks, I have 40K (thinly veiled brag) others have somewhere close to 20K.

Seemingly spewy Euro guy makes it 500 UTG. I call with KK UTG+1. Folds to an old guy in MP who makes it 1500. No real read on him yet (he hasn't done much) but he looks like the nitty type, but it's the main event so who knows.... The Euro calls and I?

I'm presuming you called to pull a limp-reraise. Total pot is now T3650, so just make it T4,000 to go.

First off I think the original flat call stinks against someone who is spewy.

As played, I like some sort of 4 bet. There's a lot of chips in the pot, and your line doesn't look that believable imo.

I agree with DJK, I reraise off the bat. As played, now your hand is very underrepped...nobody will believe you have KK if you repop to 6K, and the reraiser could have a wide range. Bump that sh*t up.

I don't mind the first call.
But once I call I reraise get it in since your hand looks so bluffy. That being said you obviously called otherwise the hand wouldn't be put in steps.

I really don't think my hand looks bluffy.... Most live players are used to seeing big pairs slowplayed all the time on deep stacks, I really don't think an old nitty guy necessarily puts me on a bluff here very often if I reraise.

Okay, but they're not gunna just put u on KK,AA. Plus, the spewy guy is still in. He might try to pull something crazy. Ya never know.

But please explain your reasoning for not 3 betting preflop 100bbs when the open raiser was someone you described as "spewy"?

He was spewy but not clueless, my hand looks so huge if I reraise him (edit: The first time around instead of calling I mean) here it's easy for him to play correctly. I figure I'm a lot more likely to win a big pot from him trapping postflop.
